1610 on Your AM Dial, the Home of Foot Stomping Jazz in Sausalito
When looking for a home for Radio Sausalito, Jonathan Westerling turned to The Pines.
Radio Sausalito is a noncommercial community radio station broadcasting jazz music, community programming and Public Service Announcements–from our basement! In 2007 Radio Sausalito was forced to leave its longtime home due to the construction of the new Sausalito Police and Fire Buildings. After an appeal to listeners to find a new home, eight generous offers were entertained, with the station eventually choosing to accept Roxanne and Gil’s offer of a custom-built studio in the basement of The Pines.
Radio Sausalito broadcasts classic jazz 24 hours a day. The station is fully automated, running from custom programmed computers and audio equipment. The computers contain many hours of great jazz which rotate each day in pre-programmed playlists. In addition to the nonstop jazz, they feature several locally produced, jazz and community-oriented programs every week.
